What this covers
This policy describes how the Proof iOS app (“Proof,” “we”) handles information in version 1. Proof is a visual daily log. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or replace a clinician.
No account
v1 has no account, no login, and no user ID we issue. Photos you save are not linked to an identity we hold. There is no cloud profile and no cross-device sync in this version.
Photos and camera
Proof asks for camera permission to capture today’s photo. Photo library access is optional, so you can choose a photo you already took as today’s proof. v1 stores compressed frames in app storage on this device. We do not write those frames to Camera Roll unless a later version says so.
Frames you take or pick and save are used only for app functionality: scoring the frame, the streak, and the 14-day filmstrip. They are not used for tracking or advertising.
Scoring
To generate a score, a photo you save may be sent to a vision provider. That purpose is app functionality — a number and a one-line note about how the frame looks — not tracking, not advertising, and not a diagnosis. We will name the provider in this policy when that path is live. Until then, do not assume a named vendor. If scoring cannot run, the app may fall back to an on-device estimate from the image itself.
Scores are not guaranteed. Face mode is how you look in this light, over time. We do not name conditions.
What we do not collect in v1
- No tracking SDKs. No App Tracking Transparency prompt. Nothing is used for tracking.
- No product-interaction analytics.
- No advertising identifiers (no IDFA) and no advertising data.
- No HealthKit or Health & Fitness data. Face is not filed as health or clinical data.
- No sensitive information categories as Apple defines them for this app.
- No in-app contact info. We do not collect phone numbers, skin concerns, conditions, or before photos.
Waitlist (website only)
If you join the waitlist on the website, we use an email (and optional first name, mode, iPhone confirmation, and whether you might post the AM/PM loop) only to send a TestFlight or launch notice. We will not email a newsletter. Until a waitlist service is connected, submitting the form does not store your address.
Permissions
Camera: Proof uses the camera to capture today’s photo. Photo library: Proof lets you choose a photo from your library as today’s proof. You can deny either; the matching path will not work.
Not medical
Proof is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or replace a clinician. Face mode is how you look over time — never a condition, never a treatment. Do not use Proof for medical decisions.
Children
Proof is rated 12+. You must be at least 12 to use the app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, write sam@amplifilocal.com and we will delete it.
Retention and deletion
On-device frames live in app storage until you delete the app or clear that data. Uninstalling Proof removes local photos and logs we stored there. We do not keep a server-side copy of your library in v1 except as needed, if at all, to generate a score from a vision provider, and we do not keep that to build a profile.
Changes
If v1 starts sending photos to a named vision provider, ships analytics, or adds an account, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy nutrition labels the day that lands. The date at the top will change.
