Terms of Use
The deal
These terms govern your use of the Proof iOS app. By downloading or using Proof, you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the app.
Age
You must be 12 or older. Proof is not for children under 12.
What Proof is
Proof is a visual daily log. One frame is the habit. Face (the default) needs morning and night the same day — miss one, the streak dies. Meds, Posture, and Fridge use the same shutter. You can switch modes in Settings.
You get a score and a one-line note about how this frame looks. That is not a condition, a diagnosis, or advice.
Not medical
Proof is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or replace a clinician. Face mode is how you look over time. We do not name conditions. Do not use Proof instead of a doctor, pharmacist, physical therapist, or any clinician. Meds mode does not give dose advice. Posture is a cue, not PT.
Scores
Scores are estimates of how a photo looks in that light, at that moment. They can change with lighting, angle, and the scoring path. We do not guarantee a score, a streak, a glow number, or any outcome. Unlimited scans, streaks, and the 14-day filmstrip are product features, not results.
Three free, then Pro
Three scans are free. After that, Proof Pro is required for unlimited scans, streaks, and the 14-day filmstrip on this device. Yearly is the default offer in the paywall. Plans:
- Proof Pro Yearly — $29.99 (default · about 58¢ a week)
- Proof Pro Weekly — $4.99
Pro is not a clinic, a coach, or a dermatologist.
Subscriptions via Apple
Paid access is sold as auto-renewable In-App Purchase through Apple. We do not bill you ourselves. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate of the selected plan. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions after purchase. Restore only unlocks Pro if Apple returns a valid receipt.
Your photos
You are responsible for the photos you capture or pick. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use. v1 stores compressed frames on this device. A photo you save may be sent to a vision provider to generate a score. See the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Proof, attempt to break it, or use it to harm anyone. We may stop offering the app or a mode without promising uptime.
Disclaimer
Proof is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that scores are accurate or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Proof and Sam Bakke are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, streaks, or scores, arising from your use of the app. Some places do not allow these limits; in those places, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Proof Pro in the three months before the claim, or if you paid nothing, to the smallest amount the law requires.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. If a legal entity replaces “Proof / Sam Bakke TBD,” these terms transfer to that entity.
